Reviews for "Jack's Halloween Treats"

my i what a sweet ending

well this maks me think twis before i scare littile children
this holloween video was great Jess

It was very creepy

This was a very well put together animation. A couple things didn't quite work, but overall, it was terrifying. One of the things that worked best was the fact that the pumpkin head guy never said a word. I always like it when much of what happens remains a mystery. The only way I can think of that might improve it is to have more likable characters. I hope to see more Halloween themed stuff in the future.

Amazing

I loved the plot, it was very good (though there were some cliches here and there) and the animation itself was great as well, not the best I've seen but still very good, the pumpkin head character had a very good personality, the music was good as well, though it didn't grab my focus very much. Well done, keep it up.

Brilliant

This flash is nothing but Brilliance. That's all I can say

definitly worth watching!

first off, i'd like to say that i agree with HollowedPumkinz.
not totally, but in general. this flash does have it's flaws, but they aren't heavy enough to ruin the experience.

personally, the thing with the 3 candles representing the 3 teens is cheesy, but in a good way. these scenes are the heart and soul of any horror movie.

all well that ends well, i'd say; if it weren't for the "1 year later" scene.
it left me so dazzled, it striked up a somewhat philoshophical question:
is there some kind of rules or conditions on how "mr. jack'o'lantern" chooses his victims?

i'd also like to question his act of killing entirely. normally psychopath killers/monsters has some sort of motive to act the way they do.
1) they see it as some sort of game, with rules or conditions, as i mentioned earlier.
2) they're just nuts. (only applies for humans. srsly, who's gonna question a monsters way of thinking?)
3) or for some sort of personal gain at least.

possibility 2) and 3) are out of the picture, because
- "mr. jack'o'lantern" isn't human (2)
- of what he did in the last scene (3)

so that only leaves possibility 1).

but that is exactly the problem. not only as HollowedPumkinz point out, are the death scenes somewhat short and undymanic, the flash lacks story as purpose for background information. the thread of story, so to speak.

horror movies work the best when they really get the viewer thinking along, and that's how they scare them as well.

please don't misunderstand me: i'm not trying to tell you what you did wrong here, just what you're lacking.
As for for it's the only thing that you are lacking.

everything else was top notch: animation, voice acting, music.
i'm only pinpointing out what i thought of as worthy of improving on your behalf.

i guess that about sums it up.
