I love games like these
The music was awesome.... I hated how I had to click "close" every time a description popped up when I clicked on objects. SPOILER ALERT = I thought the cricket under the bed was brilliant because the only way you'd know it was there is if you actually read the diary on the desk.

It's pretty enjoyable. There is incredible art and work put into this game, that sets it apart from all the grim retellings of fairy tales that have been going around recently. It has its own mythology, and everything you could possibly want to click on has some scripted dialogue, so the game is very in depth and rich. Only problem with this is, well... you can click on pretty much everything. Unlike most point and click adventures you actually have to work to get the answers you desire. Like looking under beds even if there was no indication for you to do so. My final verdict is this is a game that's worth your time, but be prepared to waste a lot of time on it.
