awful gameplay
The game looks nice, sounds, nice, and seems at the outset to be promising, but this was clearly not designed by someone with a good concept of what fun is. Robjohnson's review is totally accurate; they're the same criticisms I'd make. The author's responses are totally missing the point, which is that those gameplay problems prevent the game from being fun. At all. The upgrade system is unsatisfying and next to useless and the gameplay is static, repetitive, and eventually practically unbeatable. And even though the game gets hard, it never gets CHALLENGING, because there's practically no skill or strategy involved. The game looks great, but next time you need to think a lot harder about how the game will actually PLAY.
