Reviews for "The Perfect Fighter"

Very good game

I would have to agree with nacritico on their review. The game has a few weak spots that it needs to strengthen, but other than that, good job. I'm tired of reading the reviews with 0's and their only excuse is that flashkof used Street Fighter 4 characters and changed their appearance. That's just about 50% of the fighting games that started out. And ppl are going to continue doing that. Keep up the good work. Hope to see some updated versions in the future.

i got silver (kid)

Pretty good game.
If you smash the keys it may be that it just will keep moving wihtout you pressing any buttons.
sometimes crashes when you use p.
but overall good game

um...

stuck at select language screen o.o
it doesn't give me any options so i cant play

Not bad...

While the SCORE may sound unfair, I've my reasons to do so (which I'll explain further).
I know a lot of Newground users don't like people who think different than them, and since this got in daily 3rd place, I'm very likely to get "useless" in my review for doing some Constructive-Criticism. (which is actually a lot more useful than "lol, gr8 game!" or "I luv it!")

º Sprites:
Re-texturing characters from street fighter 4 is not really bad, since you also changed their attacks. (there is no difference from this and editing sprites)
The biggest issue here is that they look weird in the background and the select screen.
You should edit the backgrounds in order to make them look better.

Also, you should try editing "Ken"'s sprites that appear in the "tutorial" screen. There is a lot of "noise" around him.

º Gameplay:
While the game is not bad, it's really slow. You probably played a lot of MVC or KOF, so you should be aware that dynamic is the basis of every fighting game.
The code is very good, but the fights are not swift enough.

º Sounds: Meh, the music was not interesting. The sound effects were not great. And some of them are very easy to associate with other games ("level 1!").
You should try to work on this a lot more.

ª Layout:
Both, the layout in the intro screen and in the battle look really, really bad. You should get someone to edit them for you.
Also, the mouse buttons are somehow unresponsive.

Besides the things that appear above, the game was good.
It's not "a new version" it needs, but "a good polish", so to speak.
In my opinion, you should try to get some "artist" and "music composers" to help you.
There are a lot around the internet, and since this game was released, I guess a lot of them are willing to do it for free. =3

All and all, I hope you keep on making games.

Not bad.

But its a bit broken. So far, I've only played as Jason through his story mode, and I've gotta say that his leg sweep is lethal. I can pretty much just loop it to victory. Speaking of story mode, when I complete it, whatever comes after the boss battle doesn't show. The load screen gets stuck at 97-98%.

Some characters seem to be lacking music too. Also noticed some of the music used for the other characters and load screens. To give your game some more flare, I recommend getting some custom tracks made. Or use one of the many awesome tracks made by Newgrounds artists.

Another thing is the command input lag that appears sometimes. After awhile, the commands build up and its like an AI takes over my character until it catches up. A few times I just sat back and let the game play itself.

All in all, the game was pretty decent and some of the re-skins were amazingly done. Definitely something I'll play a bit more using the other characters, and I'll be keeping an eye on it to see if/how it evolves in the future.

flashkof responds:

thank you for your return !
I 've just add tempory screen ending (for missing ending) and music (I wait some music by an artist "Lonesome").
the game still in beta version I will continue work on to perfect it
