Ehhh

I like it, but I don't. I don't know.

I like the music tracks, I suppose, but only certain ones, and only because I recognized them from their respective franchises.

The characters were.... so-so? Just a lot of fighter stereotypes lumped together. Your trap character (Thaiss?) will give me nightmares. Dialogue was bad.

Your moves (!) were stereotypical, but sort of fun too. Infinites are way too easy to form (light special -> light punch, repeat) so the overall difficulty and fun was a little too light to take seriously.

The HUGE gripe is that there are bugs in the control scheme, and even with fully updated flash I get periodic 'character freezes' where I just stand there stupidly until the opponent hits. This wasn't so bad until round 6, where my opponent stopped attacking (wtf) so I'd had to have restarted. Instead, I just stoppped. And no, pause/unpause doesn't fix this (though it does change the character stance to neutral).

Overall, a cool concept, but a bit laggy/glitchy and could use some more refinement in the actual fighting system. Seeing it brought a smile to my face though, as I'm a huge fighter fan (2D even moreso).

Cheers

needs more... originality

Every single character was obviously a street fighter character, except they didn't look as good. The controls aren't as bad and unresponsive as other reviewers have complained about, but they aren't stellar either. If you can't do the special movies, then you probably just suck, I had absolutely no trouble pulling them off.

I'm amazed this isn't copyright infringement.

A nice attempt at a remake, I suppose.

It's impossible to find a character that isn't an altered version of Street Fighter characters. I am fairly sure you re-skinned most of them(Sagat wannabe, Ken wannabe, Chun-Li/Cammy wannabe) in attempt to pass it off as original.

The music was awful.

What story? The dialogue was laughable.

Was that Oribtal from Halo 3?

C'mon. Try harder.

Nice looking pile of shit.

Really, the game interaction is piss-poor. About only a third of the time, will the game execute special moves, while 2/3 of the time the character makes a single strike and starts walking towards the fucking opponent. Just begging to get creamed. It takes a while to get conditioned to the terrible controls, and the fact that combos are hard to accomplish because one move takes a full second to go off.

I finally beat my first opponent (they can slam you, but there's no instruction on how you can do it? WTF), and while the second stage was loading, it got stuck at 74%. I ended up playing the shitty minigame, ironically I played it longer than the main game that time.

Pressing any key to skip dialogue and all that was annoying. I for one like to read some stuff, and just clicking a few keys and watch everything whiz by really sucked. Should have made it spacebar only or something.

I didn't care for the music or sound effects, had my headset off.

Really, the strategy is to do repetitive movements that the AI can't comprehend. Hold down and leg sweep (3? I think) and you'll win every time. If you try to take on the opponent with strategy and cool moves, you'll end up frustrated that the response is so unsatisfactory. The AI itself sort of bumbles around until you're close enough, which is kind of weird. They don't just go all-out for some reason.

Just tried playing it again, the 3rd opponent loading got stuck at 94%. Ugh, no thanks.
