Reviews for "Battle for Wayland Keep"

Great Animation, Fun Game, Cliche Story

I found myself enjoying the game itself (even though that was only the shortest parts.) However I had a real problem with the lack of descriptions in the story. You were trying to create a high fantasy arc, but your descriptive writing needs serious work. I mean... "some land to the east" I cringed when I heard that line. "A few Slaves".... I mean come on thats so generalized...

it is

ok but it is like a boring runescape

Not a big fan of the overall. Unoriginal and boring to play

Nice idea, but a lot of bugs and lacks

I really like the game concept, but it should be vastly improved, if You wish to make it a good one. Firts of all: optimize it: add a quality toggle button. I have a quite decent PC, with 2 GB RAM and a dual core processor and a fast internet connection, but the game lags as hell even during the dialogujes!
Second of all, make it more logic: how come archers are more resistant to attacks, than the regular fighters?
Third of all, there is no possibility to protect the gate from any damage. What are the archers and other defenders doeing? Shouldn't the rain arrows and rocks on the attackers constantly? And a "flood od boiling oil" could be a good replacement for the arrow rain ability.
Fourth of all, the skils are more than unbalanced. I know, that it's a game, were one men killls millions, but eihter grant him superpowers that would make it more logical, or add some NPC or other aid, to help him slay the enemyes. Or at least grant his abbilities a more reasonable recharge metter (the charge ability charges longer than magical strike??)
Fift: I hade a feeling, the the keep armour is actually lower then the hp meter of the hero. So why didn't they build the gates of this kind of material??
Sixt: Resource gathering should be more civilized, i have a feeling, that it's quiet random and is more annoying, than helpful.
And finally, as Philnomenon said, the camera should follow the player and should be "unlocked" with a button if you would like to make a distant shoot or something.
If You work out these problems, then it will be a sure 8 or 9, and if you add to it that "special touch" than a 10 is even possible :)
Keep up the good work mate!

This is not a strategy game.
