Reviews for "SS - Keys of our Past"

Cool

When you said, "The Mayans precdicted it," I thought, "Oh crap not 12/21/12..."

So were hitting the big new knowlage age in 2012..

no wander Obama seems so smart. We've been getting dumber and dumber all this time. thank god for 2012.

Interesting outlook.

First of all, thank you for sharing the stuff that you're learning exploring this particular field of thought and speculation. It's been interesting at the very least and sometimes incredibly engaging mentally. I was rather shocked how much some of the stuff you described in your first episode matched up with my view of the world anyway.

I didn't find this episode quite as interesting as the last one (admittedly the last one related to me on a much closer level), although some of the issues covered were interesting to look into. The Sphinx's origin was something I hadn't heard before, so it was surprising to hear a new perspective on its building. I did have some issues with the way you phrase things (Society became dumber because it became more philosophically focused? Really?), and I would consider putting some more thought into your choices on words in future episodes. Still, rather engaging, and I admire the passion you have on these subjects. Keep it up!

RiverJordan responds:

All i meant was we were essentially "dropping in consciousness", and you can see it if you look at how we went from brilliant philosophers, to burning witches, and back. I agree though, i probably shouldn't have said "dumber", but whatev's :)

I can't say I agree with it...

...But you present a solid amount of information, and do it in an entertaining way. You seem to understand that the evidence backing up an argument is more persuasive than the argument itself, and for that I respect you.

Plus this stuff is really interesting, even without the perspective behind it.

ok...

i don't know anything about the sphinx or space dolphins from sirius b, but i did notice two interesting observations you made. first, that humanity in general has moved from what you call "female" perspective (which unless i'm mistaken involves emotional and spiritual understanding) to a "male" perspective (logical, strict, natural not supernatural). you said that this was part of the decline of our general understanding of the universe. the other observation you made was that our knowledge has been growing exponentially in modern times. you attributed this to the tilt of the earth's axis towards the center of the galaxy. a simpler and more reasonable explanation i think would be to say that this knowledge is coming from our increasing tendency to study things logically, not being beamed into our heads from cosmic consciousness. supernatural explanations for natural events have done nothing to advance our understanding of the universe, or anything really, but they do tend to impede this progress.
anyway, the animation was engaging even with relatively little movement in many parts. the gestures worked very well, and so did the music. the presentation in general was enjoyable, and i look forward to another.

RiverJordan responds:

Actually they're directly connected. When we were asleep, in really dense state of consciousness. When this consciousness got lighter, and started waking up, we began to pick up things easier, and faster.
