Hmm..
It was beautiful and breathtaking and all.. except for one thing.
It means nothing. The story had no context. For eg, the apple, the ring around neck has no significance without any context. The scenes seem constucted just for the sake of making the atmostphere disturbing and scary, without a storyline or a deeper meaning.
Just my opnion though, i could be wrong.
massive effort, animation, and collaboration...
...wasted on something 70% of the viewers wont understand (or wont take the time to interpret). The animation is something ive never seen before, and the music was amazing. the style speaks for itself in its own originality; grunge, desperation, fear/remorse, etc.
However it seems all wasted as its true value lies only with those that break its code. I wanted to relax and enjoy it but am stuck, like many others, trying to decipher the painting's message instead of simply taking in the masterpiece.
