Reviews for "Purged"

Holy **** wow.

That was epic. Definitely a lot shorter than I thought it would be, but every second spoke volumes. Well done.

Stunning

Great work, I haven't seen a video this great in ages. It had a deep message, most of which escaped my understanding. the animation style was really fluid and awesome, even though the main character looked strange. If only other Newgrounds people could make things this good...

woah

this is intense. And sad. I wish I had never seen this. It's just too sad for me.
I am gonna cry. But I also like it.

Needs wings

I think this movie would have been awesome IF THE ANGEL HAD WINGS. A movie like this calls for at least just the main character to have wings. And when he gets Purged, his wings could all be destroyed and dismembered. If you're video had that, it would be amazing. I'm still giving it a 10 though. Its amazing.

But at one point, the main character would have had to stretch his wings all the way for that dramatic effect.

Few things on my mind I'd like to express...

1) I think I've seen this animation before...was this a reupload?
2) Amazing/stunning work as usual, perfect and a spectacular visual feast/treat for the eyes.
3) Was causing this huge amount of discussion about the plot a part of your intention in addition to another great presentation of your abilities?
4) The plot indeed was puzzling, moving, and for me as a Christian, it was a little troubling as well. It felt like a twisted version of heaven and...well, purgatory. To me, it seemed as if the wingless angel (I choose my words with care in this description seeing as "fallen angel" is basically a sugar-coated way of saying "demon") has sinned for NOT eating the forbidden fruit. Rather it seemed that he cringed away from the prospect, both times. The result causing such anguish and extreme pain. It seemed almost cruel in that "heaven" would literally drag him back "up," with a chain, no less. Giving me the only thought that the process would be repeated once more until he/she/it eventually gives in. Sounds like that idea in itself is Purgatory or even a "fallen paradise." Hence the sadness I feel.

In any case, I'm hoping that my interpretation of the story is wrong. Again, I would just like to end with how amazing your work and, of course, Hania's beautiful music is and how much I look forward your (and Hania's) next work.
