Reviews for "Crystal Crisis"

Hmm, not bad

Well, these games are rarely without fault and the gaps between some of the stepped platforms don't really look big enough to fit the guy between them, but by crikey, they are! If they are meantot be that close together, try making them just a little closer on top and stopping our erstwile hero from falling to his doom.

With the way that the game unfolds, failure seems to be almost rewarded, with a crack at a new level, the previous one just unfolding ad nauseum before your eyes on some weird sort of loop. Perhaps interlace the levels, so that you can progress through the world, rather than seeming like you lap some ridiculously small planet, causing issues with the crystal population, which seems limitless.

The graphics are good and so is the gameplay. This is an addictive game that will have me coming back for more.

Great game!

It's original, but very challenging. Normally i'm not one to complain but it really doesn't help with the glitchy controls. If you fix those the game would be awesome. Plus, i did a very good run and got over 5 sectors, but it seems that when i died the game totally forgot about it. Literally, no medal, and i swear i got over 200 crystals but my high score for crystals didn't change, nor did my top sector. Please fix.

decent

I liked it quite a bit, graphics were good, tight controls, and fast action were all there. Even still, it feels like its missing something, anything that motivates me to keep playing. I would suggest emphasizing the achievment system more, and perhaps adding an upgrade system. Besides that, my only complaint is that the looping soundtrack got real old real fast.

Giving a 4 on the Pico meter

I liked it but two things hinder it: Jumping onto a ladder is pretty stiff and doesn't work very well. Also, it's a bitch that you have to wait for the screen to scroll in oder to make those jumps. The screen should be centered on the character and scroll with him instead of auto scrolling.

Awesome, but a little glitchy.

I like the game a lot. It's simple and it's addictive. The pixel graphics are top notch in it, especially the background and foreground work. The gameplay is fairly solid. It runs very fluid. Everything in the level, or sections, seem to have been thoroughly tested to make sure that the character can transgress from platform to platform smoothly and at running speed. The music is adequate, but it's very repetitious. And if it's too loud it hurts my ears with it's throbbing beat.

A few things that could be improved woulds definitely be the music. Other things like climbing the ladder faster, and getting off of it easier, would be a benefit to the gameplay. Also, making the character jumps more consistent is a must. I can't tell you how many times that has messed me up, when I wanted a big jump but got a small jump instead. A pause feature for the game would have been a nice addition to the game.

There were a lot of glitches in the game. This may have been worse on my end due to my older computer not being able to handle the full graphic quality of the game. For me, there was some lag. But often times, I would experience glitches with the jump pads. Like going through them, or receiving there benefits while not being on them, or they just don't work at all. Another common glitch was going through trap doors as soon as I touch them. Can't tell you how annoying that is when it happens. And one time, I experienced a glitch where I was on normal looking platforms, but they had the escalator effect. That was weird.

Anyways, good game. I look forward to the sequel to this.
