Shweet

very nice, ;love the graphics and the gameplay. only wish the medals were worth more because they take more time to earn than prety much any other game on newgrounds. also, kudos to HieiStrife for coming up with the best strategy ever. it killed the bossin like 15 seconds fer sure.

heh hard? not really

a lot of people are complaining about it being hard but i just rushed through the first 8 lvls with doing virtually nothing i only spammed smite that cold ball and fireball (with the masteries) never had any problems :P. Easiest shiet ever :P

other than that its a good game :P

Good game

And good difficulty. Personally I found the game to be fairly easy. Not so easy that it's no fun, mind you, but easy enough that people shouldn't be dieing in the first minute of a level <_<. Oh well, there are all sorts, I guess. The survival stage is quite hard though. I've tried various combinations of spells, through 3 playthroughs, and managed to get 548 (2 short of the medal). Maybe a slightly higher level cap would make this easier, but i get the feeling you want it to be hard. All in all, awesome game, though it could stand to be a bit longer.

Great concept, not executed too well

I like this game. I really do. Kind of. I love how different skills are divided into different elements, and leveling them up is great fun. The gameplay itself is simple but in a good way.

However: the difficulty arc is WAY too steep. Yes, the first two levels are perfectly easy. But as soon as warlocks are introduced, the game QUICKLY becomes nearly impossible. And when you continually die within the first minute of the level, and you're at Level 10 or so, it becomes EXTREMELY difficult to gain levels and level up and learn new skills. Which makes the game no easier. To squeeze this kind of a game into 9 levels, the difficulty arc almost has to b steep, unless the game doesn't really get difficult. If you want to make a game like this, make it reasonable: spread it out over many more levels. Also, the game just gets repetitive. Throw in some mini-bosses and bosses (not just one final boss), and it would be more interesting.

Deceptively entertaining

For such a simple game this is very entertaining. The ability to customize the hero and not be able to max out everything is appreciated; I never really did like it in other games where I could create a character who was fantastic at everything.

For those interested, the build I had most fun with was something I like to call the Elemental Bolter. Get both Frostbolt and Judgement, put all three bolt spells on your attack buttons, and then just hold them all down and have a blast. You'll need to get the mana regen skills from the Holy and Ice trees, though, or else your mana will drain faster than you can say, "I kill everything in one volley!"
