Reviews for "Wizard's Run"

...Yeah.

First of all, vague instructions. It says "Enter the menu to change spells." How do you do it? Enter the ability and then LEFT CLICK ON THE ONE YOU WANT TO CHANGE. How about making this a LITTLE more clear?
Then, there's the lack of variety. Other than amounts of enemies, it's very little change. Using the spells? Let's see...
"Chosen One": Spam the hell out of Judgment
"Pyromancer": Triple Fireball says "hi".
"Ice Master": Spamming Ice Bolt (which is EXACTLY like Firebolt, but slows your opponent down a little. What the hell...?)
Then, the lack of scenery. At least make it a cave that you enter or something instead of just walking outside...
Also, you might want the enemies (rarely, perhaps) drop potions (red for half health, blue for half Mana, used when picked up). I found myself low on mana more often than I found myself low on HP and when I WAS low on HP, I was generally low on Mana as well. Add the fact that the healing spell, even with the power ups to lower it's Mana cost, costs a truckload anyway.
Then I had a problem with the level cap, which is 15. This makes it, in theory, possible to be a master of 2 elements (assuming you make sure you just pump in the stats for the right spells all the time).
Also, it says "reduces recast time for all spells." What does that mean? All spells in the GAME or all spells of that particular element? Also, if it's the former, why even have spells that lower for that particular element? Even if you're going to master that element, you'll find yourself mastering spells that lowers for all spells as well as raises your Mana/health/regeneration.
All in all, good idea, dull game.

Great Game

But I dont know how to switch Abilities. Can someone please tell me how.

perfect... until...

i find out, that the max level is 15... in this kind of games i like to achieve all power ups... good game though

Great game, fun builds and short guide included

Let me start off by saying, thank you rachid1984. However, I'd also like to say that you suck, because I spent a good 8 hours playing this game non-stop. The builds are extremely fun to play around with, and I only wish that there could be a little bit more levels, and perhaps more balance in the trees. Other than that, one of the best games I've played on Newgrounds. I gave it a 10 because it is the first version, I'd love to see another interation in the future.

***********TIPS************
-First of all, everything is reasonably easy up until survival. In survival, it is almost optimal to have your healing ability ready, and possibly leveled. In order to beat it, I would even go as far to say that you MUST have the healing spell on your tool bar.

-For survival, ignore any enemies you can, kill casters and bats quick, and if you don't have good MP regen, then don't waste MP on enemies you can avoid.

-Survival mode gives the best experience, and the most efficient way to level a character is to gold star every level on the first try, and continuing to survival at level 11, continuing to level until 15. (the tip below makes this easier)

-When building a character based on my builds or another persons, make sure to get the direct damage talents first, then move onto the supplementary. This will ensure that you will gold every level on first try, thus minimizing the time it takes to get to survival mode.

-Make use of shatter if your build includes it, it is easy to put frost nova on your toolbar and quickly amplify your damage by 30%

This build utilizes the speed talents from all three tree's to allow maneuvering in survival mode, and easy dispatching of mages. The best tip for this build in survival mode is to manage your mp carefully, and make sure you keep yourself at full health.

0/13/15 "Divine Judgement"

This build is focused on preventing damage from the mages by using Judgement. You can switch to heal when you need it, which is often if you don't be careful. This build is hard to finish, seeing as how Judgement is a little underpowered, but can be a useful tool. (Note to author- (aoe should be bigger, not cone, circle, or something else =D) Use Ice Nova to control enemies and Smite for damage. Damage mitigation is key here. Defensive build.

0/15/13 "1,000 Icebolts"

This build is focused on Icebolts, making them fast, and being able to heal yourself. Your best defense is offense here, you can rip through enemies like nothing, and that's how you need to get control of the map. Make sure to clear yourself from the middle to the left, or the middle to the right. If you can do more, do it.
