Reviews for "A Fistful Of Fuzzies"

The title made me laugh and the rest of the film d

Did you seriously write this and shelve it for 2 years?

That was nothing but a basket of borrowed clichés performed by Furries.

KFoxyFox responds:

Not furries, just cartoon animals =P

Well...

I don't know about you all, but I know when I open my empty wallet saloons just randomly fall apart and burst into flames.
Seriously, I uploaded a cartoon a few days ago that has gotten mixed reviews, and it literally had 1 line of synced voice acting and it was STILL better than this.

Just plain shameful.

Poor animation.
Poor art. The establishing shot of the town was the best drawing, and even that was mediocre.
Lame jokes.
Poor dialogue and voice acting. Seriously, the main character's accent switches between bastardizations of almost every kind of European, which is completely inappropriate for a western american setting. The conversations are also bland and unexciting: "I suggest you have whiskey" "no"

God, there is just so much wrong with this animation even WITHOUT mentioning how full of furry it is. The fact that trash like this is frontpaged is nothing less than a complete discouragement to future would-be animators.

KFoxyFox responds:

Poor art? I may be no Monet but that is a matter of opinion. And yet that doesn't discourage people being fans of more famous animators here who like me seemingly cut corners all of the time. If you don't like cartoon animals, then nobody is forcing you into watching them :P

not for front page

"If you are giving this submission a low score, please offer constructive criticism that will be useful to the artist. The review space is not a place for you to act like a total asshole. If your review is found to be mean, offensive, or generally not helpful, you will be banned and your account may be terminated."

being mean is helpful to people who don't deserve things like a front page, and this lovely little paragraph is in no way helpful to anyone other than the large amount of 5 year old who's feelings get hurt when ever some one tells them they can't draw or animate. without harsh criticism of our work, by ourselves and others around us, we truly learn nothing other than life is perfect, and unfortunately the reality is it's not perfect.

I'm not having a go at whichever furry made this, I am however having a go at the admin who decided it should be front paged. this isn't design or art, at best this slightly resembles design and art made by 5 year old children. it should not be on the front page of a sight which is dedicated to designers and artists work, which I'm positive many put hours of talent and effort into making. putting this flash on the front page of such a sight is like going to a famous art museum and shitting on the art, not for some deep meaning and philosophical message, but just because you needed a dump.

my constructive comment to the 'artist': (term used loosely) go get a degree in design, then decide whether you're good enough to make a flash. also your shading and perspectives are off. good luck with future creative endeavors.

also i am a design student, which is why i believe in what I've just stated. whoever this animator is, they are over the age of 18, their artistic skills are that of a 5 year old. there is no help for someone like this, this work should not be encouraged in anyone but 5 year old children. thanks, and I'm sorry if I've pissed anyone off, but this pissed me off. so it's pretty much fair game.

KFoxyFox responds:

Well beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If the majority of those concerned with watching this video liked it, then I have every right to get a shout on the front page (which I must say pleasantly surprised me).

You are saying this isn't intricate enough for the front page, yet Weebl's stuff is the same to an extent and always makes the front page - and you're probably giving him a standing ovation all of the time.

I indeed am the animatior who made this, and I am a 22 year old Computer Arts graduate whose submission to the degree show had a very positive response. I know my stuff does not appeal to everybody, but at the same time I respect others' comments provided there is some merit to them. Basically this was made for a little fun, and if you can't understand that it is your fault, not mine.

Thanks but lets please keep this in perspective.
