Reviews for "The Deeplight Expedition"

A solid little game with appealingly retro graphics, but if there's one thing this game is not, it's a Metroidvania. No character/power progression, no new abilities to be had, just platforming.

Also, I felt like the game was holding my hand too much during the first 10 minutes or so with all those help popups, before suddenly hitting a difficult right-angle in the first warp gate room.

what no infinite bomb jumping

it was metroid minus the fun parts, nice try though

Amazing

This game kept my interest for Four and a Half hours. No matter how many times i died, i kept on going. Addictive, well designed. A few minor glitches with the jumping and sometimes you didn't die when you hit the lava or whatever. My only major complaint is that i found it hard to tell the difference between the platforms you could walk on and the background. Thank you for this experience, i found it most enjoyable.

Horrendously broken controls

runnng off ledges and suddenly accelerating and dieing as a result. doing wall jump while still on the ground and dieing as a result. The ground being made of something with less friction than ice and sliding into a trap, dieing as a result. Refusing to heed control commands and dieing as a result. The controls are shit and ruin the entire game, fix this.

Crap

i think this game would be good if the "Try Again" function actually function, but with how easy it is to die with being knocked into lethal water and unpredictable enemies refreshing the page every death is a chore and makes me not even want to look at this game. PLEASE FIX
