Reviews for "The Illusionist's Dream"

Very unique...

but movement was slow and I hate how the foxes could get you even you're on the other side of the wall...i loved the music and everything...but it's just repetitive, even if even a game like this had a bit of puzzle in it (which is quite rare)

touching, and a little heartbreaking

The morality lesson type of game is being use a lot, but this was still a good one. Controls a bit touchy, also some of the transformations could have been used more.

Fire Level WHAT

Rating this as high as I am because this game is nice and has potential. However, I can't stand games that have levels that restart you all the way at the beginning for one misstep. It's just plain frustrating. You should have stuck to the established gimmick of transforming into animals and stuff instead of making the last couple levels a basic platformer with subpar controls.

Could be great

Music, story, style and visuals are great but the controls are sluggish and unresponsive.

The controls are a little glitchy, which makes the need for pixel-perfect jumps and other maneuvers a real problem. Every time the man takes off his hat, he reminds me of Johnny Depp. I managed to make it through the entire thing, and, when looking back on it as a whole, it doesn't seem cohesive. First, she's talking about how she's lingering there, then she tells him he needs to let go, then she says he needs to face his own problems, and then it's take a leap of faith and wake up. The last step sorta comes out of nowhere. Also, the A and S keys don't really need to be different, as they're never both usable at the same time.
