Reviews for "Clab - Pigpen Vs Vinstigator"

great battle. piggy got the first easy, think the second was a draw.

vote:pigpen

Just wanted to point out that Descrated Sentinel just signed up today (July 6th) but yet he knows about PiGPRN's flashes? Obviously an alt account. Oh and to the people having a hard time keeping up woth what I said in my first verse it was

"never show your face bitch you're uglier than Steve Buscemi, so you have stupid bootleg Kefka rockin' a bikini" a reference to his Kefka-looking avatar he uses on the forums.

Anyway, thanks to the people who actually provided constuctive critism and not just 1 word reviews.

pigpen won easily, vinstigator just had his usual corny as fuck lines, boring flow, and being lazy with 'motherfucking' this and 'motherfucking' that etc, whereas pigpen was more creative with his shit and though he kept goin on about the fat jokes they were hilarious and like people said, relevant.

Got asked to drop a vote on this, and after a few listens, I can't come up with a winner. I'm sorry. So here's some of my impressions that led me to that conclusion.
Pigpen: Pigpen has a slow lazy flow, and that's not necessarily something I'm going to punish him for. it's his style. It's casual and smooth and I don't have a problem with it. He switches up his cadence a good amount and is substantially more entertaining than most from his presentation alone. The problem in this battle was definitely his motivation. The fat punches went long, but they were clever. The flips were clever.

Vinstigator: Basically, Vince's strengths were Pigpen's weaknesses, but vice versa as well. Vinstigator has a solid flow and rode the beat well and put some genuine emotion into his delivery. The punches need to be more creative. I appreciate and give credit to all the rebuttal attempts, but they need to be more clever than just, "fat jokes were weak". Use some wordplay and your content will really be solid.

That being said, Pigpen wins on content, but Vince was punching more. Vince wins on flow, but Pigpen varied cadence more. I'm stumped.

Pigpen: Humorous material and clever lyrics (blame it on your ping). His 2nd verse was much more in touch and had a more battle approach. His flow bores me a bit, thus resulting in me not paying attention to his content (particularly in the first verse); delivery needs some attention. Overall I like his verses and thought his direction was effective; started lazy but ended confident.
Vinstigator: He had some good bars ("resurrected more than Ganon" and referencing SSB) ,his battle material has improved and is diversifying , that being said there were some iffy bars in their. Needs to work on his rebuttals, some were kinda bad. He's got a very punctual flow and the delivery was on point. The "beat-drop" bit was good. Overall his verses were easy to follow and I liked a lot of his content.

I'm gonna have to give it to Vin. It sounded like he wanted to battle, while Pigpen sounded like he was expecting to coast through. Pig had the more clever lyrics, but he lacked the energy to make em stick. good battle.
