Reviews for "Problem vs Power"

Reminded me of showcase cinimas.

It could have done with some more back and forth good and bad contrasts. But that's opinion!

.....Proves a point.

Well, at least it wasn't another absurd video!

I dislike the example of mugging.

For the art, it was simple, but it was effective. I liked that the font used for "POWER" was done in a more "raw" font. The coloring worked, and the music fit. My only problems with this would be the choice of the word, "jerk", and the examples of power.

Jerk doesn't necessarily mean they're being evil. Someone can be a jerk without having to mug people. Also, with the word, "mug", the viewer is left to assume (most likely) that the cat is going to get mugged . . . with power. It's a strange concept, whether or not there's a cat.

Finally, you said that a person with power can do some pretty nasty things. Well, Jim has a lot more power than you're giving credit. He has the power to actually help an old lady cross the street. Not many grown-ups seem to have that power, not that there are many old ladies without it. Second, Jim has the power to help the homeless. I don't normally see people trying to aid them. That in itself is a power to be envious, morally. Finally, cats being stuck in trees never seems to be a "real" issue. It seems Jim has a lot of time on his hands, though.

All in all, this has the right intentions, but the examples are lacking. Still, it was executed nicely, and you got the point across. If this wasn't a lazily made submission as you had stated, I probably would have complained about the stick figure art while the cat gets to be a full cat.

ASP responds:

When I meant jerk, I meant someone that represents 'being bad', or having bad intentions.

And yeah, I quite agree with what you're saying about the examples not exactly highlighting to point of the flash. I'll keep that in mind next time.

As for the Stick Cat... well I seriously couldn't imagine it being an anorexic cat. The old lady's car and body were 'full' as well. They just wouldn't work otherwise.

Thanks for the review.
