Pretty Good
You did do pretty good, although some of the animations could have been better. For example, the slowmo matrix kick from Sonic took a little to long. So of the other animations were also a little slow for an intense battle from this but it's pretty common for first timers. Otherwise, the fight scene was really good, and although personally Mario should have won, it's more of an opinion. And you are correct, SMBZ is pretty awesome, can't wait until episode 9.

Don't know why everybody is complaining about the DBZ-Thingy, read the author comment and you know what's coming. I have no problem with the scenes at all.
I like the way you include the sounds and especially how you increase the fight intensity. You made a little Animation we should enjoy? Job done, dude!
Only reason for 9 stars instead of 10: We all know Mario would kick the hedgehog's axx any day ;)
This sprite fight sonic versus mario has really taken the facts into battle...sonic can land multiple hits with his speed and dodge mario's slow but powerful attacks which could give alot of damage on sonic! but in this kind of fight it took it straight and ended how it should(im a fan of sonic but i also like mario...for all you mario lovers out there!)
