Reviews for "Next Action Frog"

Good, but Glitches are TOO MUCH.

This game is good; it's the classic platforming action that it lives up to be. Yes, it is hard, and that IS NOT a bad thing, unfortunately, everyone thinks it is. This gets bad reviews because it frustrates people, and it's not just because of its difficulty. THERE ARE GLITCHES. For example, in level 20, after finally arriving at the last area where the player must navigate the frog into a small gap, touching the side of the block will send you tumbling downwards. I have deemed this level nearly impossible, as I can not find a way to complete it. I have to say, this is a good game; it's fun, rewarding, addicting, and deviously difficult. It's a shame that its glitches affect its gameplay as much as they do. I give it 8 out of 10.

Finding out the hard way

Press any key to continue... except R.
You can still fall and die after getting the flag.
Screw stage 15.
Walking into a block doesn't stop you from falling.
Hawk tails kill you.
Spinning i-shaped thing is not your friend.
Moving towards a block you've already jumped above will most often teleport you underneath it.
Hazards are slightly larger than they appear (Screw stage 21).
The newgrounds logo haunting the background is laughing at you.
This game is purposely designed to torture you with poor mechanics, enforced with medals.
You can still beat level 30 like I did without the final hawk, but good luck with that.

Platforms from hell

There is very poor frame of reference for blocks, birds, and spinning death things. Having beaten the game, I wish I had spent the last half hour doing something else.

Too addictive

Must...beat...level...18...urgh...

Great game overall. I haven't completed it yet but it's fun so far!

Beat it!

Have to agree with stinky472 about the collision detection being wonky... not the enemies, but the platforms themselves. Its nice that they stick out a little bit so you can run and jump of the very edge of a block (the invisible part) which brings back mega man memories for me. But jumping up to a platform off an enemy only to die to the "invisible" part of the block before is kinda annoying.
