Cool platformer
I for one would play any and every cavestory-esque game put in front of me. This one is fun, fast-paced, smooth and quirky. I like it.

There's no problem of blatantly ripping off of another game as long as the game comes out good. If taking ideas from other games was a crime, then nobody should ever make another first person shooter because it copies Doom, nobody should ever make another RPG because it copies Final Fantasy, and nobody should ever make another RTS because it copies Command & Conquer, etc. etc.
Great job on the game. It's well polished, but it is indeed too short. The game practically ends as soon as the player gets used to using their weapons. Usually, at that point, that's when the game's supposed to get harder and the enemies/bosses get more creative.
The secrets were a nice touch and a cute throwback to retro game platformer secrets, although after a while they get too easy to find when almost every secret area can be found by looking in every vent in sight.
Despite the shortness of the game, the story is all right, which is actually a plus because it's a flash game and as far as flash games go their stories usually stink.
The gameplay is smooth and overall polished, although the shortness of the game definitely cuts down on the experience. I hope you make a sequel in the future, this is good stuff.

really fun game
definitely a nice homage to metroid and other similar adventure games. Kinda wished there was a more interesting end boss but it was still fun while it lasted.
