Reviews for "A Very Christmas Incident"

Hmmm

I don't know, I'm not going to bombard you with insults like some others, but this just didn't catch on for me. It's actually kind of hard to explain, because I had individual complaints about it, but the real problem seems to be the mood, kind of, and if that was fixed, then all the little tiffs wouldn't matter.
It was original though, I guess it just felt a little.... forced?

Slackman responds:

I had to edit it down for length issues, which may or may not be why it feels forced. I guess I'll have to work on making it more natural. Thanks for the advice.

JUST LIKE ME!

kind o like my house with my aunt trying to hook my up with a 14 year old

Slackman responds:

Kind of!

Was this supposed to make sense?

Instead of going on about the bad animation/sound/overall quality like so many others are pointing out, i'm skipping to what bugged me the most. The narrative. WTF? was this made to confuse the living hell out of people? Was there something that happened before hand? And why the hell do the two old guys strip and run outside when his son tells him theres cigarettes outside? MAkes no sense. Lets forget the fact that just about any dad would hit his son should his son request what this guy did here, and lets focus on the fact that regardless of how realistic it was, it still made no sense. Were they trying to get kicked out? Goddamn dude the plot makes no sense. The dialoge was poorly written, backed by an even worse performance and worst of all fell flat with lame jokes that (surprise) were bland, flat, and nonsensical in the bad way. I've already written a f*ckin book on how bad this animation is and the worst part is i could continue ranting. At least you tried something new. That gets you a 4.

Slackman responds:

Well, I could answer all of your questions that no other person seemed to have anything resembling a problem with, but rather, I'll just say that if you really do want the answers to the questions, you should just watch the cartoon.

I'm sorry you didn't like it, but I'd recommend that you look into attempting to follow subtle narrative hints (like the dialogue and actions that occur between the events you've mentioned) if you ever watch this again.

not very funny, in my humble opinion

Animation wasn't bad, but voice acting was below sub par, and the writing could definitely be better. not the best on this site, but better than some i've seen. Just keep working at it, and maybe get a better mic or recording area for the sound

Slackman responds:

Fair enough. A lot of the sound issues were caused by people being too close to the mic. Not much I could do about it after the fact, but definitely something I will work on in the future.

Needs More.... Something

Same old story... so not much originality there. The dialog was a little drab, I was honesty hypnotized through boredom long enough to watch it all the way through.

Slackman responds:

Well, at least you watched it all the way through. That counts for something, I think.
