Great game, but many various little flaws sting

Too many people complain about the difficulty, I'm nowhere near being a godly player and the difficulty was perfectly fine, maybe some people failed to grasp the concept of how you're supposed to play... in any case the game is great, very good just as the two first were and I enjoyed having some character leveling to look forward to: There is however no progress for the first gun, which I was dissappointed in, not only that but I encountered a bug where I had to kill 220 aliens and the map was empty, leaving me with 75 aliens left to kill. The weapon leveling up is also too slow, you never take time to level them up since it takes way too long, you just buy more powerful ones and forget the first ones ever existed, which is a shame since with faster leveling up, the guns could be reused. I also found that the limited amount of ammunition ran out far too quickly: now this wouldn't be a problem, you have an unlimited gun after all, but it would be more enticing if that said unlimited ammo gun COULD level up. The mercenaries should also level more rapidly, since you just forget the first ones since you can just replace them with better armed ones which yet again, removes them completely from the game, left to forget. Maybe add an option to equip them with armor?

Overall, the game is great, the concept is still great, and while the first two games were more much straightforward and simple, they did it well. Everything you added into the game was a great idea, however, seeing as it was completely new ideas for the DarkBase project, it's understandable that all the balancing weapons/mercenaries/leveling up (and a couple bugs like I mentionned) wasn't perfect, it would have required tremendous amounts of testing which I consider is why we're here, and why we can comment upon it on this site.

I'd like to recommend a few things:
1.Fix the bugs (such as 75/220 aliens left to kill but no aliens left on map)
2.Re-insert the story elements of the first two that we LOVED, which gave the game a creepy spooky experience. You could for example only put story elements inside the Mandatory Story missions and still keep the side-missions without them.
3.Re-insert more maps plz, it was a bit boring playing on empty fields. The first games really really made the exploring incredible, and it was a big part of the fun. Dark ship hallways, and doors and corpses ripped apart all over: we loved that too.
4.Balance the weapons/mercenaries/leveling up so that we can enjoy every mercenary and every weapon. this is probably the hardest recommendation I make, it's the hardest one to figure out since it requires much testing, but it will make the gameplay of this game, it's meat, be incredibly more enjoyable.
5.Don't give us the map right away, make each square appear on it as we explore it.
6.My final recommendation, give the player a wider area of view, the enemies often come in too fast and it's hard to figure out what's happening, which makes for confusing battles. I know doing this would reduce how graphically nice the game is (and it IS incredibly graphically nice btw) but you wouldn't have to extend the overview by much, just a liiiiiil teensy bit :P

Yet again, I'd like to say how tremendous the serie has been so far, and how incredible it's potential is, especially with so many new added elements but it needs more polishing. I do hope there will be a DarkBase 4, because I love your games, thanks for sharing them with us.
