Reviews for "Cavern of the Evil Wizard"

great if you're copying what was in "BIG"

Good job on the graphics and the style of the game (in relation to the game in "BIG") but other than that pretty poor. I died the first time from the wizards ice scepter, and beat it the second time because the text tells you how to beat the wizard. Maybe thats how the game worked in real-life/"BIG" but I would have preferred it if you had added more to the game than this 30 second scene.

Pointless.

I always try to see the good side in these games as they take time and effort, but that felt pointless... Almost as if you'd made it just so you could use the song at the end.
It takes about 4 seconds to complete all in all, which on my shitty interwebz out in the country is a shorter time than it took to load.
Thats the main problem, if it was longer, even by a few more screens, or there were more endings or items to use and pick up then maybe this game would be playable.

Not a game

I get that this is 100% accurate to the movie, but it's not fun at all. You could have shown some artistry and created a game to lead up to this point.

Really?

This is art, disguised as a game, inspired by a very brief scene from a very old movie. But it's very low caliber art that seems to exist solely to feed the author's sense of nostalgia. In a frustrating series of very slow events that are (thankfully?) small in number, you watch a pink man with a sword amble into a cave and hold a wizard a swordpoint, then figure out which textual command to type, followed by the enter key, to defeat the wizard. After every attempt, you get a few lines of feedback that sit on your screen for about four times as long as it takes you to read it. Then you try again. Take too long and you lose. Figure out the right command and you win. Then you're done. Maybe someone else out there besides the author will get it. But it's not a game. Not really.
