Reviews for "Halo: Orions Spartans III"

fantastic job but dissapointing

Pros: i loved almost all the art in the game
the spartan armor was beautiful and detailed
theenviroments were nice and crisp
i like the idea of unsc creating an illusion of more spartans
music was nice

Cons: the voice acting wasnt the greatest (no thanks to the script)
the story i felt could of been more professional and closer to halo. felt like u made it into an akward jap anime cartoon.
they felt way too much like average soldiers then elite spartans (or even imitations)
besides the spartan (which was fuckin beautiful) i was disapointed by the character designs. again had way too much japan animation feel to it.

overall i say it was damn good just didnt go in the direction i liked. loved the art and i look forward to ur future animations. if u made something and went "how can i not make these feel like a japanese animation" i promise you i would be hooked! but this is ur work, ur art. u know wats best for it

Disappointing, and why is it rated M?

good animation though

Wow

This has got to be some of the shittiest voice acting I've ever heard in my life.

Not my cup of tea

This is a good accomplishment, but I wouldn't call it a legitimate animated film. Why? The film has no character of its own. The armor detail is obviously traced from screenshots from Halo 3, which is fine, but lacks personality.

There really isn't that much animation here. It's almost as if your mentality when making this was,"Let's see how dramatic I can make this movie by using borrowed music and never have any of my characters move. Oh yeah, and I can use fade to black's to go from scene to scene too." Body parts shift rather than move, which gives the illusion of movement. That kind of animating can work, but with the 'epic nature' and 'dramatic tone' I think you were going for, it would've looked a lot better with frame-by-frame, fully animated characters.

I love anime and manga, but I'm really tired of this Western Manga kind of style a lot of young artists are taking. It's like a cop out, they latch on and only get good at drawing that kind of way. I would much prefer to see the hand of the artist evidenced in the drawing style. I couldn't feel for your characters at all because as soon as I saw them my mind filed it into the "yet another Western Manga character style person". I barely had a chance to enjoy the film.

I agree with the others about how you should read the books to help you characterize the feel of the Halo universe. I don't think you should just hide behind a shield of,"its a fanfiction, so I can do what I want." If you're going to set your fanfiction in a world, you shouldn't change that world.

Another small critique is that I doubt very seriously there would be a Monitor with a name like "Amber Light". That's like if 343 Guilty Spark's name was "Cerulean Glow".

Enzer0 responds:

Armour detail I have you know was all hand drawn by AQUILAS in his sketch pads and then scanned and gone over in flash. Don't ever jump to conclusions - EVERYTHING in this animation took time.

I came up with Amber Light - Clearly your a tool. Guilty spark is a dumb name when you actually look at it. Amber Light is what it is. Grow a set, if you didn't like it don't watch it.

its great

But do all you really give a fuck about the god dam animation? its corny and its really confuseing "if" you dont wacth the whole series. plus the spartans are not the same, just read the authors comments you dumb halo fanboys. this is a masterpeice and this deserves more than the bicthes say its worth. dont gotta read every book in that halo library to understand that. keep the series going and dont stop.

Enzer0 responds:

Thank you!!
