Had all the aspects I could hope for in a game, Comedy, Playability, Funny music. Thanks dude.
Only thing It doesn't have is replayability, I wouldn't go through it again.
:D You should have more chat boxes for the coins and the jumps, Otherwise it was a great concept.

This makes me wonder...would platformer games have been like this if they invented them in the early 30s?
About the frames...
I think its a brilliant touch that adds a lot to the "1924" feel of the game.
The game is great! My only complain is that the controls are sometimes a bit out of wack but that could just be me sucking :P

seems to work but
I get the joke with the text but well make it appear randomly or every 4th or 5th time you jump, get a coin or get hurt so that it doesn't get too annoying or break up the game too much. Seems to function correctly and the music is a good fit for the game if a bit of a short loop.
