Reviews for "Pencilmation #8"
Meh. "Pencil"mation.
I dont like how the pencil did barely anything in this one, it was more about the animation and not enough about the pencil interacting with the characters and scene.

but for some reason I was unimpressed with this one. I agree you added something with new camera angles and shading but ultimately it lacked the random funniness of the others. What I mean is you had one guy kinda causing a disharmony... Usually you had a whole slew of things causing disharmony. That made it unique and funny. Don't worry I'll keep watching but this most definitely is not my fav.
Pencilmation's kinda losing its novelty...
When you first started pencilmations, indeed, I had seen many times before the idea of things being drawn in during the animation, changing the story. But, it was okay that you still did it; it still felt at least a little original.
But now, I'm really wishing that you would move on to a more complex type of animation. The black and white stick figure drawing is getting kinda repetitive, and I'd like to see you grow as an artist, rather than be stuck in this gag forever.
Even the original humor, most of which stemmed from the acts of a pencil drawing things to dramatically alter a situation, has become kind of weak. As an example, nothing is drawn after the characters are made (which doesn't really count, that's more of an entrance) except for the glass dome.
However, if you still find it neccesary to keep making Pencilmations for a long time, I suggest you increase the overall pace, especially with the humor, and definitely EXPERIMENT with other things: Dialogue, multiple pencils, colors... Anything to seperate them from your previous works.
Slightly disappointing, but i still have hope
Well, look, your pencilmation skills are as good as ever, but in your previous episodes, the characters were more defined, and we knew what each of them was about, but in this one, all the characters are just random and shallow. The story was also too short and lacks a sort of dilemma that the characters go through that is dealt with sort of chaotic means. The only points i give you here are for the quality of the animation , which is quite amazing. I am a fan of your work and hope that your next episodes bring back the charm your older ones had, and that this was a more one time experimental kind of mistake. I also agree with the other reviewers that the hand kinda takes away from the charm and novelty of the series.
