Disappointing
The gameplay felt watered down and sloppy, the brilliant menu format from EW3 was gone, and there just weren't enough new features to actually make this game feel like more than a bonus level in EW3.
It's been a long time since EW3 was released, and to see a sequel of such lesser quality is practically inexcusable.

Disappointment is such a dirty word...
...but that's the only way I can describe this. The lack of a "fast bullet" mode is almost criminal, there are way too few missions, allies are even more useless now that they are so annoying to select (Is that guy in the red beret a friendly or is it that guy that has the grey helmet? I mean, there's no else that looks like that on the map... oh wait. They just shot me.), no Fallout 2 references/homages, and there is no backwards compatibility with the other 3. There are a lot of good ideas in this one, like the ability to go prone, the ability to select allies individually (though this is marred by reasons stated above), the longer, multimap missions, and the quick grenade button. Its a shame it's brought down by such simple (but major) issues. I hope you can pull things together for another release.
Going through the flash games of my childhood, Endless War 3 now 4!... Problem is that the end of the level buttons don't work, in 3 you could "fix" that by walking from the mission completion trigger square, but here you become static after you reach it so really no way to go around it. Massive shame because the game on the Newgrounds player plays really smoothly. Need just that as a fix and the game would be an instant, non-negotiable 5 stars, grew up with these and I wouldn't have it any other way. =]
