Reviews for "BlownOutOfProportion4 (1)"

It was ok

It was an good flash. I've seen alot wors. It was good as far as having a story since it was so long and it was pretty funny. I think you got those 2 parts down. What I think you should do is maybe not make them so long but focus more on the graphic quality and voice acting needed a little work.

it was funny.

i would like to know where the music from the opening is from.

JunkYardAnimations responds:

I mixed the music together myself using drum and piano beats

Blown Out of Proportion..But Not In A Good Way

Well I don't really know what to say. Oh I know!!! This part of the episode is as immature as Shirley Phelps and as plain as Fred . I may not be familiar with this series (I'll have to look onto that), but this doesn't seem to be a good introduction for me and probably many others based on these other reviews/comments. Now to lubaananahaha or whatever his name is, I'm not a hater. This seem like a laughing paradise to you, but to be honest, this is far from real comedy. At best this is basically a clone of some scenes of South Park put up more hardcore than the producers could ever be allowed to (And that's saying a lot if you know the history of the South Park series).
Let's start with the concept. The jokes involved are too repetitve and too flat out to be truly funny. The author could've at least disguised the jokes into more clever dialogue. Although some characters like the English teacher were very hilarious character wise; still most of the characters were forgetable. This is slightly thanks to the mediorcre voice acting. The range between most characters was almost unoticeable. I swear to a god, I thought the female characters were men when they spoke. However if the author wanted to show what happens in high schools, Pavel Lubanski hit the spot right on unfortunately.
As for the flash itself the animation was decent for it's style, but some scenes would have been more flairatic if there was some background music involved.
I'm not sure if this is all intentional, but if it isn't then JunkYardAnimations needs some things to configure out. Nevertheless, the story is good enough to make me wait to watch parts two and three of episode four.

JunkYardAnimations responds:

i definitely agree with the adding background music, it really helps move the slow scenes along... u gotta watch Parts 1 and 2 tho because its all one episode ill PM u the links

good but needs some work.

There are SOME funny jokes and moments, but they're few and far between. That made it hard to watch the whole episode. For the kinda of material you're using you should split this up into shorter episodes. That way you won't have to compress the audio so damn much it sounds like everyone is talking through a old ass radio. Plus it'll give you more time to focus on art and animation, which could use just a lil more attention.

It's a good idea and the fact is you finished it, and thats says something in itself. I know how hard it can be to finish a project. Good job onverall, and keep it up!

JunkYardAnimations responds:

hahaha "an old ass radio" yeah man my sound quality really lacks, my mic is shit and so is my sound program (audacity lol) try turning the bass down it helps a lot... and yeah im entering some Fox competition and i have to submit a 4 minute cartoon max, so ill really have to compress an episode and make it quick to the point with funny shit happening constantly.. thanks for watching it all! took me 3 fucking months lol

Good and Bad...

Lets start with the good. You've got some good humor. The weird teacher was great, but I wish there was a little more of him. There were a couple voices you had that were phenomenal, I believe it was the voice of the lady on the bus.

The bad... A lot of the humor just seemed to be constant insults that got old pretty quickly. Then a lot of the humor just seemed to be absolutely random like the weird guy on the bus and although random humor gets chuckles, I couldn't even cough up a pity laugh for some of it. The animation was pretty lousy, very choppy and some scenes would freeze, not to mention the constant lagging as well. Most of the voice acting was bad and barely audible so I had to boost my volume to max to hear it.

Keep working though and you'll have a good flash in the future.

JunkYardAnimations responds:

did u watch the entire episode?? theres 3 parts dude.... and yes i agree my animation lacks hardcore but i want to be a comedy writer not an animator
