Wow games like this are what nintendo should have been putting effort into back in the mid 80s and early 90s. It has really cool music, a fun fighting style, really good controls, and a level of challenge that is really hard to find nowadays. Defintaly can't wait for the sequal. There are problems however but they are pretty minor. Also there is something to be said for the nostalgic pixelated look.
Simply enchanting
This game is simply that! The music is incredible. The game is challenging (which can be rare in games sometimes). And the character and story is just all-around awesome. :P. A good platformer like this is hard to come by.

bad artificial difficulty
and by artificial difficulty i mean that the only thing that makes the game hard is bad collision detection on spikes, timed runs with inconsequent monster pathing - running after a moving platform and avoiding monsters, but sometimes the mosters just move to the corner you need to jump on so you have to either get hit by the monster or fall into the spikes, best example of this is shortly after the first purple checkpoint

You know what you've done. congrats. this is just like my childhood memories. I got an E, but I'm going for the S. Thank you for making a game worth playing... it's been a long time since a game could give me butterflies in my stomach as I jump over spike pits. I will most definitely keep an eye out for the next 4!! This game is perfect. I see absolutely no reason to give it anything less than a 10... solid controls, nostalgic visuals, a proper soundtrack... this is "fried gold". Please let me know personally when and where part 2 drops!

The game runs smooth. I haven't come across a single glitch in the game.(like every one else says)
