i realy like it . realy good but it is a little to difficult to level up

This game is excellent.

I've been playing this game an average of an hour per day for about a month. The learning curve and difficulty is just what separates the noobs from the savvy defense experts. I don't usually give 10s but this game is good.

Good with some bad parts

Its a great game with ingenuity. There are a few bad parts though. The transmutation system is too hidden, I only found out about it after dying and a hint giving me a heads up about it. Predicting whats going to happen to a gem when I combine the two is hard. The game is too fast paced for the amount of information about each gem you are given. Most of all though, its just too hard. I got to the third tier in the story and could NOT beat any of the missions, at the last 1 or 2 waves, they would swarm with uber invincible creatures that would walk past my three 35 damage poison traps and 4 towers like they weren't even there. Don't get me wrong, its a great concept and great execution. I just wish it was easier.

This free game > My PS3

Yeah... about a week ago I found this game and I also received Mirror's Edge from Gamefly for my PS3. Guess which one I've been playing daily and which one I played for an hour, let collect dust, and eventually sent back from disinterest?

I'm usually pretty good with feedback and suggestions on games but this is seriously as balanced and well-featured as I could possibly imagine for this sort of game. The only thing that got me personally was when I had a level paused sometimes I'd get confused and hit the 'back to map' button (Thinking the level map) instead of the continue button. I lost my progress more than once that way.

By the time I beat the entire game I was leveled up to 76 and I just BARELY scraped out a win on the final level. I mean it was text book... I was scrambling to find a way to combine my gems into 7 level 7s and in the end I had literally just enough to do it and about 500 mana in reserve with enough mosters to deplete my pool only 15 seconds away... at that point I was glad I had mastered the gem bomb shortcut and placed all 7 bombs with only about 2 seconds left before I'd be dead. I sat back and just thought 'wow' at what a fulfilling end game experience that was.

The only thing that disappointed me was that I was sure I was going to get to keep that gem of eternity and go back and kick some ass on the earlier levels with some sort of ultimate badass gem. I guess not.

All in all this is the best tower defense concept ever IMO and I've played a lot of tower defense games.

Great job. Hope you do some more, but keep on innovating and definitely no need to make the game any longer than this one was. Any longer and it would have been too much.

Overproduced

You know I guess I'm just hard to please but I didn't find this one nearly as fun as the first Gemcraft. Don't get me wrong, its still an incredibly well produced game. Its just that most of the new additions seem gimmicky and frustrated as opposed to interesting and necessary. Gemcraft was a relatively simple idea that worked really well. By comparison the minutia and grind in this one just kind of turned me off. Never the less the kernel of the game we all know and love is still here and if you're a fan you won't be disappointed.
