Reviews for "Twelve Towers"

Nothing really new and some strange stuff

There are already tons of archer defending games and this doesn't add something very special to it.

The graphics are ok, while I personally dislike those rendered sprites; but well that might be just my taste.
But it's hardly deniable, that the animations for the faster creatures just look hilarious in their speed and unfitting to the game theme.

The music was not my taste either but there was no option to turn it off without turning off the sound effects. If I don't want any sound at all, then I could just turn off my speaker as well.
As an additional note: If you turn off the music in the title screen, you can't turn it on again (or so it seems to me).
But the sound effects were OK for me.

But what I really dislike about this game is how it handles the special shots. I can't combine them; well, that might still be fine. It might have some reason for that.
But then if I cast a new spell, any remaining special shots of the last spell are also not saved. Sorry, but this sucks seriously in my sense!

umm stolen concept man

this is exatly like the concept for epic war and this idea is stolen complteely. The only score you got was because of graphics but still. Stolen concept man, originality wins over everything

Er...

On easy...when it keeps going on it gets impossible... well very hard...And if only i wish that freeze can really freeze the enemys and when the dragons came everything came like... WTF! it was just wow hard... so i have not that much to say since i could'nt finish

Should be - "Under Construction"

I like the additions (large selection of spells) to the average defense game, but the game play itself is choppy and boring at best.

Enjoyable

I played through the game on easy and enjoyed it (mostly).

First, my biggest gripe was unreliable timing at the end of the levels. Sometimes it would take as much as 2 minutes for the game to move on after the last enemy appeared to die.

I would have given this game no less than a 7 if it weren't for the above-mentioned "bug".

Second, another major gripe, was the fact that you could not stack spell effects. For example, you couldn't cast fireball and rapid shot at the same time. I could understand if iceshot and fireshot couldn't mix, but there is no logical reason why rapid shot would be overridden if you also cast summon footman, summon boulder, fireball, split shot, poison shot, etc.

Lastly, but least importantly, I would have liked some of the effects to have been a little more polished. For example, the death beam was rather dull, just a straight black line. Also, there is a bug that causes artwork from the level to remain when the menu pops up for the next level (I.E. I often had my boulder survive and it would appear overtop of the spell buttons in the memorise spell menu), this also happened with projectiles like arrows/iceballs, etc.

Overall, good game. With a little polishing and a little more debugging, easily an 8. Now I'm off to try to beat the game on normal.
