Looks nice.
Music is a little irritating. Add a bit more please.
Add checkpoints.
Add upgrades (blaster/enemies, shield, superjump) maybe.
Give your double jump a charge time.
It looks nice, but I got bored fairly quickly. I'm not entirely sure how to fix that.
Quite excellent
While it did annoy me having to start at the very beginning, that doesn't mean that the game was any less commendable. I liked how the different levels were accessed in much the same way as the levels themselves are played. Overall, it was definitely a fun-filled number of hours. I suppose it'd have been less if I had better timing and didn't die so much, lol. Overall good game.

Enjoyable
I have not had the chance to play to the end just yet, but I'm liking it so far. A big plus for me was the customizable controls. I've been turned off by many otherwise would-be-great games because something as simple as pressing the up key rather than some random xyz etc key to jump. I like to keep my hand stationary rather than having two hands going unncessarily (especially since I'm often propping my head on my other hand). Perhaps I'm just uncoordinated ;-)
