needs improving

upgrade ideas were nice, but problem is that even if yu have the best boat, if the opponent is one new upgraded boat ahead, he always wins, and there's no way to do anything about it....
i think you should add the following:
- ability to SELL upgrades again, so that you can buy a better boat
- more money from shooting boats (didn't really help me...)
- power-ups on the water
- instead of having to start over, save, or at least give possibility to go BACK to the SHOP after a failed level, so that we can change something about our config (for ex. if I bought an extra cannon, but I need more speed, I'd sell the cannon, and buy more oarsmen instead)

This game is great.

Anyone who disagrees is probably complaining about the difficulty level.

There's an easy answer to this though: DON'T BUY CANNONS. Cannons don't actually help you unless you're trying to get a good high-score, and if you lose just try again; eventually the terrain will be on your side (2nd or 3rd try). The hull is important but the oars are the most, and it's good to be aggressive, but rather than with cannons, PUSH the other boat behind you. THAT is how you win, and it is a pretty easy game if you get good at pressing left and right one after another at a decent speed.

The animations were good and the gameplay was overall excellent. Cannons serve next to no purpose however, and all the sails do is make you tolerant of your opponents' (which makes me question why they buy them sometimes if they have unlimited HP). Decent storyline for a game with next to nothing of it.

The music was great, just wish it had looped better. It wasn't pirate-y at all, but the song you chose proved it didn't need to be.

Again, those who gave it low scores because THEY suck should be ashamed of themselves regardless of who's admitting what.

Could of been a lot better

Needs the option of returning to shop after a defeat. First I bought the minor upgrades and when I could afford a new ship I decided to save up for the better ship. Suddenly next turn the enemies are twice as fast and strong. Wouldn't be able to beat them no matter how skilled I was with the ship I had. Pretty annoying.

Automatically shooting at the closest target is annoying. Should let me pick the side of the cannon I want to shoot on.

O. Graphics were mediocre. O. Game play involved rapidly pressing a button F. enemy got to fast to quickly and trying to buy oars doesn't help, as you'll just have to upgrade to a bigger ship but cannot afford it.

horrible execution

there should be a power meter to tell you how fast you're going or an obvious change in animation like a glowing ship or bigger splashes in the water. this game was very poorly thought out.
