Reviews for "Pirate Race"

Complicated

It's bad planning to rely on your guns. Sails is probably the best upgrade to prioritize followed by oars. You can also steer the other ships off the the playing field to better your chances.

And some added advice is to hit reset, untill you're given the maximum reward, at the begining of each level. Some times a four digit number can be only three. If you don't check you can miss out on thousands.

Great game

the only problem is with the upgrades. It's less skill based than upgrade based. if you don't get the upgrades then you literally cannot win. i got to level 7, but because i didn't buy the boat, i bought cannons, i just couldn't keep up. and the only way to change my choice would be to start over. still, maybe thats what you had in mind. it just makes it a little frustrating. no matter how quickly i rowed, i lost. XP great game over all tho. i love pirates.

yeah, but no.

it was okay to begin with, but as time went on (by which i meant the five minutes i spent playing) the gameplay just got repetitive and by the time i got to level five, the other ship was too fast for my own to cope with. i tried shooting it but all i did was crash into islands and eventually blew up after i was shot too many times.

i didn't even know that pirate ships used oars..

not great

once u get to level 5 it seems that the other ship is able to move faster than you and has more cannons so there is no way of advancing, the only way you might win is if somehow the enemy were to get caught on an island, which it doesn't so you cant win. Good idea though, and as everyone has said, no need for the techno lol.

My wrist hurst

Nice idea, but upgrade path was poor, difficulty spiked, and the gameplay was boring after a couple of rounds.. ended up being more a race than combat, and get behind one bit, you never had a shot to catch up./
