ONE OF THE BEST MATRIX GAMES IVE PLAYED
Very well put together
Easy control scheme, great graphics, fun gameplay. There's a few strategies I found that work pretty well in case people are having difficulty with the game.
Stage 1 - Octobot) Easy enough... doesn't really need a strategy.
Stage 2 - Twins) Again, not too bad. Don't overuse your phase attack as it drains your HP. Just keep attacking when they're cloaked, and eventually they'll come out of it and begin to get hit. Obviously only fight one at a time.
Stage 3 - Agents) Stay on the top of one of the buildings with a staff or sword. Stay near the edges, that way when guys jump up, you can attack and a lot of the time knock them off. They'll come back, but it certainly helps prevent you getting overrun and eventually they'll die.
Stage 4 - Octobots) Use up your gun on one of the octobots at the beginning of the level. If you hit him with pretty much all the shots, it'll kill him and that's one less to deal with. Don't use your phase attack unless you have more than one (preferrably 3 or more) in the effective range, then beat on them with a staff, sword or whatever you have.
Stage 5 - Clone and Twins) Grab the trashcan at the bottom right which will reveal a grenade. Go to the top and beat on the right-most weapon case which will reveal a lightsaber. Grab the grenade at the bottom (being careful not to jump down on it... ugh, I hate that) and climb to the top of the right building. Toss the grenade off the edge which will only hit the rightmost twin. Grab the lightsaber and when he shows up, beat him into submission. Grab his grenade launcher, climb back up to the top and unload it down onto the two remaining enemies. Grab the lightsaber again and wait for them inside the building. Try to avoid using phase as you'll need all your HP for the upcoming fight. Try and pin them against the walls and keep attacking with the lightsaber (the twin will die fairly quickly). Good luck!
All in all, a solid game that's very fun to play. A very good remake of the original indeed.
