Eh.

This game isn't that great of an improvement over the first. At best, it's still a simplistic beat-em'up that gets dull very quickly.

The fighting mechanics are still simple and still frustrating. The fighting feels clunky and unfluid. Why do I have to let go of the attack key before I can attack in the other direction or move for that matter? That right there is the death of me most of the time, since we I have juggle several agents on both sides. This problem is compounded by the fact that how much you move when you press an arrow key is too sensitive and inconsistent. Often what happens when I turn around to attack another agent I move too much (Which is not much at all, just that the agent is right by me) I end up punching at nothing. In fact this is not just when I have to turn around, often when I try to hit an agent in front of me the sensitivity issue is too overwhelming. There's also the issue of what speed you can turn around, since this game is designed to face many enemies on both sides, you should at least have some 360 moves. This is also combined with the arduous delay after you attack makes the fighting mechanics just clunky and frustrating.

Also, you need to have a drop weapon button. I don't want to lose 3 hp everytime I wanna drop a weapon just because the pulse attack is the only way I can drop a weapon.

The new pulse attack doesn't add that much to the game. First, the fact that it makes you drop your weapon really limits its use as sort of a last ditch move or a lead in into a combo. Sometimes you REALLY need that staff. Second, it's really not good as a last ditch move to get the agents off your back, as it is too slow and it can be interrupted and it doesn't knock out the agents long enough.

And you really need to cut out the "falling on other people damage". Having an agent spawn and fall on top of you is just annoying, especially since health packs are really limited.

The new bosses are just meh. The ghost brothers are just agents, that you have to wait for to uncloak. Octo is easily defeated when you just stun them.

Overall, this is an average game and a below average sequel.

Wow

It takes a while to load at first but this was a very good game. The art was magnificent. Play was great, and semi destructible buildings were pretty cool. The only problem that I saw was that the attack animations got a bit stale after playing for a while.
