Good game...
but far from polished. The movement seemed laggy, this was in part due to the fact that your character had to slide to a stop for some reason. The bird is interesting but horrible implemented. If you send the bird out, then the camera focuses on the bird. So even if you stabilize the bird, it's still focused on the bird and not the (now moving) hero. I often had difficulty retrieving the bird, since if you interrupt it while it's flying back (say, to attack of block) it stops coming back to you.
As for the actual combat, it was quite dull. Everything I fought was easily defeated by running up to it and mashing the attack button. This made the first 3-4 levels feel like I was still playing through the tutorial.
As for the background, I could not differentiate between the ground and where the flash was cut off on the bottom. Several times I jumped down to find that what I thought was ground below me was just the lower pane of the flash panel. Some ability to pan-out the camera so I can actually see the area would be useful.
Oh, and run spellcheck on your text. Nothing says "amateur game" like poor spelling.
