good game but easy exploitable
just get the best guns and take ur enemys to the edge of the map
stay outside their gun range and just keep shooting..
easy win.. makes the game to easy this exploit

i liked it
in the beginning its better to buy better cannons and kill stronger ships from afar.
don't buy ships ,you should just kill the enemy crew with grape shots and then you
can easily take the ship. all you need is a medium sized crew and a lot of grape shots. there should be a mini map cause i usually lost track of some enemies and i don't like to have to go around looking for them. i also wish i had more control of the fighting in town.

Prepare to set sail for adventure, gold and dominance in Black Sails! In this game you're placed in the boots of a naval captain during one of the most exciting ages in histroy: The Pirating Age! Yes, the Pirating Age, when the winds where strong and the rum flowed from cups, much like Janet Jackson during the Super Bowl incident. You start off with the choice of either a good ship or more gold. This choice in itself greatly influences your gaming experience. Either you cast your sails to the wind trying to board lager ships while they fire bombs toward you or you'll be scouring the seas, blasting every Neemo and Little Mermaid, to fatten your wallet. The three world powers of the 1600s are all here and available for you to pledge your undying loyalty to. Whether your a pu--I mean, peace-loving Frenchmen, Powdered-wig wearing Brit, or an Ese' from east of the border you'll find some place to call home. The sea battles are tense and demanding as you try to give your opponent a first class ticket to Davey Jones' locker without become a resident, yourself. You literally have to time your shot down to the second or face a barrage of cannon burst from the enemy. And with four (4) different types of weapons both you AND your enemy have at your disposal, that is no easy task. This game also offers the opportunity to buy and complete contracts for one of the three kings or wing it and get wet and sandy with anyone who crosses your water path. The greatest ability you have in this game is the ability to actually capture villages and make them apart of your kingdom. This won't prove to be as tempting as it first sounds as teh number of militia men usually outnumber your's 3 to 1. But with an expansive map, which features such ports as New Orleans and the pirate town of Barbosa and a multitude of ship upgrades, Black Sails manages to keep even the saltiest of seal-dogs busy. So, whether you're sailing for Port'O Spain or the infamous Tortuga (yes, Tortuga's there), you'll manage to sail up an adventure that would make Johnny Depp jealous. That's why Black Sails gets a 9/10, ARGH!

A few improvements and you could have a good game. Make the screen centered on your ship in battles, show ships on the map, and click to go to the places in town.
