the sword fighting was good but the ship fighting taakes to long if there was a way to board the ship it be funner but ehh i give it 7/10

Was a good basis. But needed more
It's got a whole lot of swashbuckling in it BUT
There was one problem:
The only things to do were fighting ships on the High Seas, and fighting cities.
And, that doesn't leave a whole lot to do when you just start, cos other ships are HUGE and cities are well guarded...
If there was other stuff, I apologise.
But at the same time, I don't, cos it wasn't obvious enough for a fool like me.
Had great potential.
Just, add in some more ways of earning money.
Like trading, or doing missions for your Contract.
And, on an historical note:
I doubt very highly if the King of England/France/Spain spent a significant amount of time in the Carribean.

Id give it a 10 but... No strategy involved in sword battle and THE SHIPS KEPT GETTING MILLION MILE SPEED BOOSTS WHEN I WAS ABOUT TO BOARD!
why?
it could have been great..... but its free online games isnt it.... havent you ever heard about quality over quantity? This could have been awsome but it wasnt... so many problems like when you try and board you should have anouther attack (eg grappling hooks) because when you try to board and you dont get it perfect it justs goes weird and the other ship just turns around and around..... there are soooo many reviews that are saying things you could do so why dont you listen?

It's already been said a hundred times, but here it is again. This game has a TON of potential. The art kicks ass, and I love the exploration map, but some things just really left me wanting more.
Theres needs to be a difference between which alliegence you join. Maybe have it so if you dock in one of your countries ports, things cost a bit less? And if you're a pirate, you can only dock at pirate ports, but things cost considerably less, but in turn, all other countries attack you on the spot.
RADAR. Please for the love of god, put in a radar. And lock the view.
If you conquer a town, you need to get rewarded. Period.
A bit more customization on the ships and units.
Missions available from your nations capitol.
Even still, I really love this game. It had me playing for hours before the lack of goals finally discouraged me. Please either remake this game or make a sequel. please please please!!!!
