Overall an Excellent Game
One of the harsher RPGs I've encountered, though not as vicious as the various Rogue-likes. I really love this game. Features like being able to highlight unvisited rooms and extensive tooltips add an element of polish in this game not seen in other, similar games. Choosing equipment is not always obvious; there's often a temptation to make use of the amazing equipment with cool abilities, but overdoing this makes for a poorly armored character that dies rapidly. Inability to level up as much as the player wishes means this game is no cakewalk; there is no mechanism to convert time into experience as is found in most RPGs. Thus, beating this game is not a matter of perseverance with leveling but rather a matter of skillfully chosen fighting tactics and equipment selection. Though Monsters' Den is admitedly nothing new in the world of RPGs, it's definitely one of the nicest RPGs I've encountered with flash.
