Haha, nah she won't be talking like that for the rest of the series, but she does have this very impulse talkative character. She's the type of character that's either extremely happy or extremely depressed, theres nothing in between
Excellent Work!
I must say that I'm quite impressed with the time and care that must have been taken in the production of this work. Excellent Audio, particularly the music selection, but the voice acting also offered a great deal. I always love to see artist pursue solid story concepts, and there is definitely a motivation here.
A few things to work on, as no work is perfect:
Many of your action transitions are a bit rough, with key movements missing from the events. This would be less important at a higher frame rate, but regardless of the speed you still need to work on mapping out motion better. In particular the landings that the Tony and Jack both make, are lacking a fluid sense. One thing you might try is a planning sketch where you outline their body positions in each frame through the event. Try to make sure that you maintain even spacing, and slow gradually so that each picture occurs right where the audience's eye expects it to be. When your characters jump or hesitate unnaturally it can create an unsettling effect which will do a lot of damage to the suspension of disbelief.
Hey thanks for the review. I am also aware that the animation could have been more fluent at some points, but i never followed any training in animation. I don't study it and I have taught everything myself. The main reason for the points you mentioned is simply because adding more keyframes to some movements would also take more time. Sometimes i just have to say to myself, well this came out pretty good, on to the next part, instead of perfecting every scene with more keyframes.
Gosh!
I totally loved that! It was such a nice soothing animation that made me feel kinda fuzzy inside hehe. Very very well done, I absolutely hope to see something from you within 2008!
Lol, BTW my name is Jack so I found that more reason to love this even more.
I liked the personalities of each of the characters the most and how they were so cheerful. I could definitely imagine seeing this on TV, thats how good it is. I hope all the encouragement and support you get will be enough motivation to keep you going.
Thanks buddy. I WILL keep going heh. Even if it'll take me 10 years. I already have the entire story thought out in the tiniest detail, it's just a matter of animating it.
A masterpiece!...
...and a fantastic start to what looks like will be a great series. Here's what got you my 5 and 10:
1: Top notch artwork (up there with Fallen Angel and the Brackenwood series).
2: Fantastic audio: the music fit perfectly, and the dialouge and script seemed to be of professional quality (not kidding).
3: Original concept (as far as I know), this ALWAYS scores major points from me.
4: Plot: you carried the idea of Jack and his friends on an epic journey to a potential hot date very well throughout the movie.
Suggestion: This could very easily be a theater production, you seem to have mastered flash, why not go into theater? (but please don't completely abandon flash, you're an expert at it, I can tell)
ROCK ON DUDE!! \m/-_-\m/
Wow thanks for the compliments! I'd love to make a full movie, but that will probably be just a dream. Yes, i also dream that someone at pixar might see this one day and say 'hey, wanna make a complete feature film outa this?' lol but that will just be a dream i am afraid.
Also, i am still a student. I study architecture and as it is, i kind of have to give that priority at the moment. I hope that after i finish, i will have more time for this stuff
