Reviews for "Evil Nights"

good for the first few levels

but then i realized it's just the same 4 airial demons over and over again. that and those 4 are just the same models and AI's repainted with different damage and health, so not overly difficult at all, if you can take down the first type, you can kill em all.

Graphics: Ok i suppose, not like we haven't seen backdrops like it before. and the spells weren't exactly spectacular either.

Style: Good here, but it felt like it was a little short on cash at all times to me, were you expecting us to LOSE houses? never lost a single one and beat game in 10 nights.
Just a thought, but making something different about demons other than color and hp (and damage?) like size, speed and maybe a walking type or two?, would seriously help.
Oh, and differences on the spells plz, fireball, ice ball, and poison ball were tiny spheres with only a color dif.

Sound: Great music, didn't ever get tired of it.

Violence: Like i said, spells weren't all that great (cept lightning) and demons all had same attack and i never lost a house so i don't know if the streets got littered with bodies of your villagers.

Interactivity: Ok controls, i personally think way you scroll with mouse wheel should be reversed, tripped me up whole game.
1 <= up down => 10 (think it should be)

Humor: Pwn demons like ants, save the town, now all i need is to get the chicks in end and we're good. Oh, and lightning spell was mildly amusing, overkill for no reason and spell was pointlessly costly.

Overall: Fairly good game, but if anyone found out like i did that Ice Ball + LVL 5 Fireball = instant death for all but the strongest demon type, you'll find it rather boring around night 5.

Not bad

it's a nice game, for the first few minutes.

at first I had trouble aiming, but when that was finished, I was able to finish nearly every level without casualties.

The nights were a bit too dark IMO, I wasn't able to see everything good.

One major flaw in it is that it didn't finish ever (at least for me)
I now have a pop of 41 and a target of 19, but the game still says I don't have enough people.

The game needs some work, but seems to be a great base.

You're onto something

Nice work when you made this; you were definitely onto something. I loved the basic concept of the game. However, it got way too repetitive in the later stages, and all there was to look forward to were the new spells? Which frankly didn't cut it because every other level you'd have to walk another 10 or more seconds just to get to the new house that was built down the road.

The spells were interesting, and unlike some of the previous comments, i dont think that the difficulty curved levelled off too fast; if anything - too slow for me.

Work on the general concept of the game; the idea was definitely there; but more variation and less distance to walk will probably help to increase the score. That said; well done!

Tiring and saddening

Very good challenging game, but once you finish the game you don't get anything from it. A bonus level, cheat code, nothing. Just seems like it is saying you won now leave. Other than that good job. Also I never saw the use of increasing health. The only time you get hurt is in the starting days.

Review

First the sounds, repetitive and rather annoying.
Second slow interaction made things sluggish and again annoying.
Third point game play simple and easy to use format.
Fourth. Defenders are useless

Room for much improvement all round especially sound and interactivity.
