Amazing
It's a very good animation by itself, but the music just makes it that bit better. I never see that kind of sychronization and soundtrack on Newgrounds, 's'like Tom and Jerry :)

If I could have I would have just dropped a song from Opeth in the background, and let the movie just play. Since that wouldn't work, had to go with the score. It was fun to do though, although very hard to make work.

I'm confused myself whether or not people understand the two checkers on the checkerboard were the same two from the other game, the commanders with the whistles. I know I'd always use the same pieces, because as tiny as those things are you're going to lose them.
My only problem with other board games, as far as making a story, is they are too defined as characters already. Anyone here can make a clever story with a Chess set, simply because we all have metaphors for pawns, kings, queens, castles, and the others. Those would also be a real game, while I wanted this to follow a different kind of narrative.

Classic
Just like all other forms of media, flash animation has been going down the hole. The highest rated flashes out there usually involve some video game character, fart jokes, and other immature pointlessness.
Well, aight, nothing wrong with all that every now and then. But anyway my point is, very rarely do people do what's truly great, and stick to what gets cheap laughs. This was an amazing break from that trend. And a refreshing one at that.
It's nice to see a strong message get a simple treatment, and be conveyed as clear as other common methods. But no matter what other big words I can think of, this just rocks. Keep up the awesomeness.

I've never been good with big words either. Sucks, but maybe I should have paid attention in school.
Yeah, I wish too that sometimes there was some difference in the highest rated content, that not all of them focused on the same gore and crude humor and whatever, but then again millions of users can't be wrong right?

I'm in awe about your style. I love how you used music thru the whole movie to express emotion, sounds, and simply was was actually going on. It sounds kinda cliche, but you think outside the box and I completely respect that. Easily one of my favorite flashes ever.

Nah, I'm confined to a box. If I had better creativity I could have done something else with the movie, but instead I was stuck with what I had. I've already developed a better way to do the music, but that will have to be used for my next animation.
