Reviews for "Ocean Star {durn}"

Good Solid Sound

and plus points for a really clean loop!

durn responds:

Thanks man. :) I can't help but make my tracks loop as my evening job is making loops for games so I've always just been in the habit of cleaning up my intro/outro so that they line up in a fluid manner.

Plus-side to that is people will listen over and over again without really realizing it. :D Muahahaha!

There Need Be No Comment!...

My apologies for not reviewing your other song, Muskokan Dusk. I've been busy lately myself.

Anyways, once again, I don't need to comment about your songs. Pure epicness. There's nothing more for me to say. Keep up the great stuff. I'm looking forward to more songs later from you!

>> A Side Note (opinion-wise): You should make a song similar to "Summer Solace" or "Give or Take". Out of all the songs I've downloaded from Newgrounds, I found those two, which were both by you, the ones I spammed the most.

durn responds:

:) Thanks Injabie. But on a side note... isn't Muskokan Dusk kinda Summer Solace style? :d Hmm, wait, you mention Give or Take too... it's prolly that slide guitar sample I use in both those tunes you like so much. :D Maybe I'll work it into somethin' again :)

gross

Amazing work, the beggining was like unlike anything ever, what do you use, great work!:)

durn responds:

I wouldn't say unlike anything... someone earlier compared it to Dr. Who theme and I really liked that comparison. :D The theramin definitely gives it that sci-fi feel. I use Propellerhead Record+Reason for all my work. :d

Excellent.

This piece is so dreamy. I love the intro and how it builds slowly but surely into a energetic piece. One of the best bits of Audio on NG, great work.

It's not too fast, not too slow, it's just right. Great tempo with solid beats, brilliant.

durn responds:

Hey GVG, thanks for the comments. :) I definitely poured my heart & soul into this piece, still makes me feel the tingly waves when I listen to the intro. It's all thanks to that Theremin synth I used, it really added such a wailing, mournful quality to the song.
