Reviews for "Ocean Star {durn}"

Very nice!

Openings pretty nice i'd say and it goes into a pretty nice transition to the song. Lovely work and congrats on top five for sure man. Been a long while since i've seen you here on NG. Heck its been a while since i've been super active myself. Lovely work on this track and keep it up!

durn responds:

:) Thanks, wyldfyre! I'll definitely keep on creating! :D

nice

pretty awesome. Lovin' the space sci-fi idea!

durn responds:

Thanks man. :D It's a theramin synth with some powerful reverb on it, turned out pretty trippy. :d

The beginning...

melody kinda sounds like the beginning of Pendulum's "The Tempest", but really goof job on the song.

durn responds:

ehhhh, I listened to it... maybe same scale/mode being used but beside that it's a pretty far stretch to find similarities. Though maybe I should be happy to be compared to Pendulum? I dunno! :d

Thanks for the review, elemental. :)

Good song :)

Nice~~~~

durn responds:

Thanks Lobuno. :)

Really good..

This song is really nice to listen to! I found myself smiling while listening.

I love how the main melody/ repetative sound is under the bass and percussion parts, though I feel it might have been more... (lost the term...)... spacey? It just reminded me of watching a spaceship going away, so perhaps it being louder at the beginning, then fading would have been interesting.

Besides that, I can find no complaints whatsoever!
Great job!

durn responds:

:D Thanks ghostlight. Yeah, I tried your idea of the spaceship though using FX that I introduce to seperate the halves. But it didn't would've added another layer of interest if I'd worked with the synth in a similar fashion. Shall keep it in mind. :) Thanks for the constructive review!
