Something similar happened to me. I had a small hobby of recoloring and reworking artworks and then posting them on DA; on every piece that was reworked I would always take the time to link to the original author with full credit and thanks. Well, apparently it wasn't good enough because I had woken up with no less than 25 hateful comments calling me an art thief and a demeaning journal in my name. They reported me, removed all my artworks, and tried to continue harassing me until I had made a formal apology to the masses. Now I don't submit anything but my writing.

i had a feeling the 'what?' would explain everything. Yeah the politics of art sights like FA/DA/SA can be utter bullshit, but that's the beauty of the internet as you just demonstrated, they don't want you speaking your mind there, so say it on newgrounds. BTW even for only a day invested it's still good
