That game was obnoxious.
The random events really bring you down quickly. It's too hard.

cool idea, addictive, nearly impossible
This is a hard game to play because it can very easily become frustrating. It's fun and addictive but also ridiculously hard to figure out a proper sequence of gameplay. I personally feel the game would be better if either the standard to win the game was lower or there were more options to win the game. The score needed to win takes days to reach. There are limited actions in the game (farm, marketplace, etc.) that can lead to victory. I'm not one to admit defeat, but neither am I willing to spend more than six hours of my life trying to beat a game that has little variation.
Good luck on your sequel, your first was addicting though exasperating.

This SUCKED. im sorry there was just no fun playing it. firstly the high population sucked with the relitivly small amout of food. everytime you try to find a way to make money you always come into dead ends.

You WRECKED this game!
I immensly enjoyed the original Dotville. It was a clever little strategy game that was great for killing time once you figured out the formula for winning. Now you've gone and ruined it by putting in those rediculous and unnecessary rank limits that screw up the formula. Please change it back.
