TO PLAYERS: don't listen to what the author says: farms are the best money maker- so buy 1 (that's "one") market, and then go with farms untill you get 200 (that will use up all the arable land on the far side of the river), then you should probably build markets (I did), then mines and only then then smithies. to raise the citizen morale (called "happy") feed them with 20+ bushels of food every year (now that you get so much food that won't be a problem), and once you get over about 200 or so, set your taxes to 100%.

TO AUTHOR: this is a game I really enjoyed, is there any chance you could remember the name of that 80s text based game? (I have a snekaing suspiction I played that too, in which case I'd really like to play it again [and the first step to that is knowing the name], since I used to suck at it when I was a kid, but now I probably won't).

Well that was funny. I thought I'd get to see an epic battle of dots and squares, but it was just rock-paper-scissors.... o well. I don't know what that guy below me did, but I'm guessing he lost. I lost the first time, then tried again and won easily. This was a good game man, good job.

Ok.

First start off buy bilding farms untill you have about 5 or so, then work on a market untill you can get about 2000, then bilde minse and smiths. Afterwards sell the iorn and wepons to make mony to invest in your fort. One problem i have is that after a while ill have fires, then after one it says i lose maby the time runs out, but i dount know.

Great game..

But there's just too many dots to feed! I loose because I'm not giving them enough food. But I can't give them more food because there's no more food to give! And I can't build another farm because there's no money. And I can't raise the taxes because then I will loose because they are unhappy. (a lot of because there..) What am I supposed to do? What is wrong with me??

a good game

and its really fun to play + its addicting.
but, it is like when i get relly far, suddenly a phunkin fire breaks loose or som other shit happend and im done. coocked. baked. that sucks, it really takes away the gameplay fun.
