SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY !

I had to XD
5/5

Silverbullit responds:

Haha, you betcha meatbag! ;)

Seriously speaking, thanks for the funny reference mate!

This is well crafted. You really did great on the face, and it may not be perfect, but it's pretty accurate. You should keep it up on the sculpturing.

Silverbullit responds:

It makes me really happy to hear your feedback Kingleoice and notice the details. I did try to hammer out his visire so it would look more naturally/cartoony and bring out some "life" in it. If you think of it in the show Bender is actually very "bouncy" in his bodily details opposite that they should be very stiff. I am in awe how kind you all have been about him and the support and motivation your pure good will transfers to me. I am so very glad I found my way here. Actually it was by pure chance I stumbled upon Jazza and his monthly Robomance competition that led me here. And I wanted to make a colorful futurama background and place my irl Bender in the mix. And I doodled together this (remember im a noob and not at all at your pro levels) http://www.newgrounds.com/art/view/silverbullit/happily-forever-after?context=ratings:etm.search:COTMROBOMANCE.offset:17
There is a progress thread for Robomance challenge and I had some questions about the making of Bender. I dont think I would ever have posted Bender here if it was not for that your forum friends such as JojoDodo, TaraGraphics asf also encouraged me. So I posted this separate pic of Bender and I never imagined this place was filled with kind encouraging people like you Kingleoice. I promise to do my best to make some future work that lives up to your way way to kind feedback. I appreciate the constructive thoughts very VERY much mate! Thanks Kingleoice

I think this is an awesome representation of Bender! Sure, there are a couple things that aren't accurate as he is depicted in the show, but in this case, I think its okay. With the materials you had access to you utilized them very well I think.

Maybe in the future, if you're able you could revisit Bender and make another sculpture of him with more accurate parts or fix this one but I think you should leave it alone to be honest. Has a certain...charm to it.

I think we should try to get this shown to Matt Groening himself! Does he have a twitter?!

Silverbullit responds:

Hi FGIJonC,
Thanks for that incredibly kind response. Yes I think you have understood the dilemma of only having access to build outta junk very well. Your awareness makes me wonder if you do you this kind of sculpting professionally? And yes I would really much like to finish Bender and also there is a lot of other stuff I would like to interprete in to real life from steel and other materials. I can promise you this, I will really really try to do a much better job. I can't beleive how nice you all are being about Bender and the undescribable kind and massive support you are giving. I think everybody here is pretty much awesome and I understand how this is a place where artists thrive.
Ha ha mate, if we showed this to Matt Groening himself he would prolly smack me on the head, haha.
But thanks for even thinking of that, awesome comment FGIJonC! :)
