Beam cannon! FIRE!!!
Yeah! With the pow-pow zwam-zapakow! Was is to easy? Hmmm, no, however I never lost a battle. But there were some nail biting moments where, if I missed the next shot, it woulda been all over. I liked how the first shop owner looked like Rei Ayanami from Evangelion. For the future games I would suggest making a bigger price gap between the 3rd and 4th ranged weapon (If you're keeping the battle system). Speaking of the combat system, I might suggest tweaking for added variety. Now, since mostly the game seemed more showey than strategic (Though there was some strategy involved) maybe you could have a finisher button that unlocks if the enemy is in a certain range of health, and the finisher changes based on... Hmmm, fame level I guess. Or maybe you could by new finishers based on fame, and if you used a finisher to smite your foes you get bonus fame from the fight! YEAH! Anyway, just an idea. Overall, I think that this game has all the basic elements needed for a Japanese style RPG and actually lacked something that improved it. Now while its unrealistic, never needing to heal your mech was GREAT! Don't change this aspect please! And since I seem to be out of space: Good Game!
